How to deactivate twitter?

My classmate made me an account for twitter because she guessed my password correctly here in yahoo. Now, i wanna deactivate this account without her knowing. But i just dont know the password for this account....Should i ask? Or is there another way? Or maybe i'll just change my password here in yahoo, but i dont know how...Please help

Go to Twitter.Log in at the top right hand corner of the page.

Click on "Settings" ,also located in the top right hand corner.
This will take you to the Account Management section.

Scroll down to the bottom of that page. Click on the
"Delete my account." link located in the bottom left hand corner
under the "Save" button.

Click on the "Okay, fine, delete my account." button when you
are redirected to Twitter's 'Goodbye' page.
Your account is now deleted!
