What paperwork do i bring to a child support hearing?
When being the one taken to court to pay child support, do i bring my bills and my own expense papers with me? And what If i pay a bill that is in someone elses name, for example, my car is in my mothers name, but i pay the monthly payment..will that count? And I pay my youngests mother $400 a month in volunteer child support. does that count also? (This is information I need for my daughters father)

Get receipts for all of your child care expenses, and bring your check stubs, your income taxes from last year. You can bring your bills too, if you want, but generally, child support is based on your salary, and what is paid to other children. It is a percentage of your salary. The judge does not care if you have to work two jobs to pay your child support and take care of yourself. He is only concerned that your children are taken care of. He figures that if you could not afford them, you should not have had them in the first place.

I think all the expenses that you put forth for the children you will need proof. Even your car payment... cuz you drive your kids around. Since it's in your mother's name, she needs to write a note for you saying that you rent the car from her for $$ this amount.

For 22 years, I have volunteered my time working with divorced/single fathers dealing in family law issues, such as child support, teaching them about what the states are not telling support obligors.
