Is twitter a dumb concept? Weigh in?
I want to hear what you have to say- I personally think we have enough things that goes against our privacy. Hey now we can tell our killers exactly where we are- so they can track us easier. I don;t know, but what's next a social camra site that allows you to tape your every move???!

twitter is not as bad as"now we can tell our killers exactly where we are" but it is making us more dependant on computers and electronic grammer. Were just going to get lazier

It depends on what you post. If you want to post your address and lead a killer to you, that's your choice, but Twitter doesn't post stuff like that for others to see automatically. In fact, you can even block your page so that only your friends can see it.

Some people don't get the point of Twitter. They advertise it by saying you can let coworkers know if you're going to miss a meeting. In ways that can be useful, but others say that it is taking away people from talking face to face and using the internet as their source of speaking.

I think it's kind of dumb, especially if you already have Facebook, since, you know, it's exactly the same as status changes.

I... don't know about all that paranoia stuff, lol, I mean if there's a killer with a personal vendetta against you, he'll already know where you live... and if it's a random killer, they'll just find a random victim. So. Um.

But yes, I do think that twitter is dumb.

Technically, there already is sites where you can video tape whatever.
Anyways, if you put what you're saying ThAt way then, yes, it's a dumb idea. Seriously, though, who would be dumb enough to say "I'm at 2000 Peninsula Avenue, Washington, Washington D.C." Really, would anyone be dumb enough to do that?
But HELLO!! You don't have to be dumb and you can be more general. 'Out of Town' or 'At Work' or 'Went to movies' or 'At relatives' ' While those can help only TRUE 24/7 stalkers where you are, other than that it can't help uncover you're exact location
Oh, and also, remember their are other Twitterers such as CNN or such that tell latest news updates or stuff.

For people too revealing (don't take that the wrong way btw) then, yes, Twitter is a dumb concept. However, for those of you smart a**es 'keep it simple' people, then no, Twitter is a GREAT concept and you should use it.
