If you block someone they will not be able to tell. They will not be able to see you if you are online or able to contact you. This may appear suspicious however, if your mother sees you online and you do not appear online on her computer.

When you block a person, if they search for you ... they won't find you.. so they may think that you have block them or that you have deactivate your facebook.. and if they have another account and they search for you .. they will find you.
So make sure ur mom doesn't have another facebook account. |

It just blockes them they can only find out if they look through there Friend list and don't find you they may work it out!
