How to stop notifications from coming into my iPad?

How to stop notifications from coming into my iPad?
I keep getting notifications on my iPad even when I'm logged out of Facebook. When they come up and you click on them it asks me to log in. I have tried reinstalling the app, I've tried turning off notifications under settings of the iPad for Facebook under apps and notification centre. Does anyone know how to fix this??? Thanks

Go to settings>general>notifications>Facebook than turn it off

Account settings<notifications<clink on the link that shows your cellphone number and then turn it off.
