What do i do if my girlfriend keeps posting about dead birds on Facebook?
My girlfriend keeps linking to news articles that talk about birds mysteriously dying, is this going to ruin our romance? Should I ask my dad 4 advice or should I just consult my own feelings

Ask her (in person) why she does it. Then if she can't take that hint, tell her to stop.

That isn't something you'd normally see on Facebook. If you are annoyed, embarrassed, disgusted, etc. by it, tell her so she can stop posting about it. If it isn't affecting you in anyway, what is there to care about if she posts about birds. She might be interested in it.

I would say this could help your relationship! If it's something she cares about, then bring it up in a conversation. Maybe it could be a good topic for discussion in an awkward moment. You could post back websites about the event, and maybe she'll be happy to see that you're interested.
On the other hand, if the topic irks you, gently tell her that the frequent posts are bothering you, and that maybe she could post on other topics, (such as the two of you *wink*) It's always good to ask someone older and wiser for advice. If your dad knows something on this topic and your girlfriend, maybe he could offer better advice than someone you'll never meet. Good luck! |

You need to ask yourself, why should I care about hundreds of thousands of dead birds and fish dying all over America and now in Brazil and New Zealand? No one else does, why should you! The news just says it's fireworks or cold water anyway! Besides, why should you hurt your head thinking about what kind of freak poisoning of Corexit is going on in the world and who's behind it or that you might be next if you eat poisoned fish or breathe the same air?
My goodness, you have so much more important things to worry about, like romance! So screw the planet and wondering why all those animals are dying en masse and just kick that worrywart girl to the curb, for sure! P.S. I do hope your question is facetious, but sadly, with today's society's sick priorities, it's probably not. |
