Can a person tell when you un-block them on facebook?

I've blocked an ex-boyfriend from long ago on Facebook, but I'm interested in seeing his pictures so I was wondering if I un-block him, can he tell besides being able to see my page? Will Facebook ask them if they want to accept my un-blocking or whatever?

Unblocking someone will not automatically add them back to your friends list. All it does is allow them to 'find' you in their search results. He will not get an notification to say that you have un-blocked him

If you want to see his photos or anything on his profile again you will have to send a Friend Request to him and he will have to accept it.
