Just not clear on the Yahoo message about 360 closing down?

I am on two accounts-regular yahoo with chat and 360 messenger. Is the regular Yahoo and 360 messenger closing and going to a facebook type page or what?

yahoo messanger is not closing.. yahoo 360 profiles is thats it... u should of got a letter sayin update to ur new profile.. ..its just another profile of yahoo.. sucks.

There are some details that are unclear in this question. Are you really using two separate Yahoo! accounts? Each Yahoo! account gives you the opportunity to access the same services (http://360.yahoo.com ) that has a chat feature connected to Yahoo! Messenger. Technically, there's no services called "yahoo with chat" or "360 messenger".

So, you don't use Yahoo! 360, which is a social-networking service, then you don't have anything to worry about. It's closing on July 13, 2009. Other services are only affected if they've had some linkage to Yahoo! 360. This means such linkage has probably already been removed/adjusted long ago or will disappear eventually. The Yahoo 360 shutdown does not affect your Yahoo activities beyond that aspect.
