Can a person cancel or close down there facebook account? How?

I don't use mine, I don't see any point & I want people to e-mail me not e-mail the world with my messages. So how do I close up my facebook? I never saw the point of it. I guess it is like a teenager who smokes cause their friends do.

Go into your Account Settings and click the link to Deactivate your account.

Log into ur account. Scroll down to the bottom to where it says help. Click on that. It'll have some options for permantly deleting ur account. just follow the instructions. it takes 2 weeks for it to be finalized so it won't be deleted right away.

Yes! You can temporarily deactivate your account (here FB will save all of your info) or you can permanently delete your profile and in that case all of your information will be one forever! o to the account page and follow the directions!

You can go to your account section, scroll down to deactivate, there's a choice between permanently or temporarily and you are done

Deactivate it or if you want it to disappear completely, violate the guide lines, post a porn picture and report yourself and it will be gone for good.
