Why do people post complaints on Yahoo answers?
Why do people post opinions and complaints instead of questions? Like "I hate madagascar 3?" "I hate my mother?" instead of a real question like "How do I fix the breaks on my bicycle?" Real questions? Isn't this illegal on YA?

Teenagers crave attention. You will find legitimate questions buried under Hunger Games and Twilight questions.

Because some people are idiots and attention-ho's, that's why. At least that's what I think, and I think it makes sense.
I just report that stuff as abuse, because it is. |

Most people do NOT realize that YA IS NOT A SOCIAL CHAT forum. They think it's like Facebook, a social forum. I thought Google + was going to be a question and answer site, but when I joined it I realized that is just Google's version of Facebook. Then Google bought Yahoo last November. I haven't logged into Face book since March.
People also complain about how Yahoo is run because they mistakenly think that Yahoo staff reads and moderates the Yahoo boards. They don't understand what community moderation means until some one explains it to them when they ask why their question or answer was deleted for no reason. |
