Samsung Galaxy Ace notifications not working?

I bought a Samsung Galaxy Ace (model number GT-S583oi) today and my notifications doesn't seem to work properly. I don't get notifications from "Wordfeud", even though I checked it. It also doesn't work if I install a new app or getting a Facebook notification. Am I missing some sort of settings that need to be allowed?

U need to go to the App settings. For eg, Facebook, u need to go to the settings page. U will need to ensure notification check is enable. You will get notification for message, event invite and friend request.
