How do I get my laptop to go to the Windows log-in page when I shut it?
Basically....to avoid being facebook raped by my brother, I need to be able to shut it, and for a password to be put it if he opens it, if I leave the room.

Please help and preserve my dignity!!!!

The specific method for this depends on which version of Windows you are using.
Are you using XP, Vista or Window 7?

Go to the Control Panel and open the Power options.

For Windows Vista or 7, There is an option there for what to do when you close the lid. Choose whichever options you want, but be sure to select "Require password" under "Password on wakeup".

For XP, go to Control Panel-> Power Options-> Advanced and choose "Standby" when closing the lid, and "Require password".
