Facebook Question reguarding newsfeed?

I want to be able to post pictures and status updates without having it show up on my relatives newsfeed. I want to keep them added on my friends list but I just dont want them commenting on all my stuff.

Is this possible? If so, what is a step-by-step instructions on how to do it.

Yes, it's very easy.

Before you post, look at the lower right corner of the text box next to the word "Post" is the word "Custom". Click on "Custom" and it gives you the option to "Hide this post from the following people:" then just start typing the names of the people you don't want to see the post. (You can change your settings to hide ALL your future posts from the same people, too.)
