You could take the challenge of the annual Academic Book Writing Month (AcBoWriMo) event in November.

There is also the National Novel Writing Month (NaNOWriMo) and National Blog Posting Month (NaBloPoMo) and National Poetry Writing Month (NaPoWriMo).

PhD2Published is a blog for helping early career academics learn how ot get published. Sites such as Chronicle of Higher Education, The Teaching Tomtom and Get A Life, PhD have featured the project.

To register for AcBoWriMo post an initial declaration of intention ont he PhD2Published blog post annoouncing the start of the project, on the site's Facebook page or by using the Twitter hashtag "#AcBoWriMo."
