How do I make a Yahoo avatar?

READ STEP 1.

Your avatar can be a cartoon or a photo. You can also use your Facebook or Twitter avatar. For an animated gif you should make it your Twitter avatar first.

STEP 1.
In order for your avatar to appear you must make your Yahoo Profile visible. That is done here:

There is no reason to hide your profile. Nothing appears unless you enter it and turn a switch on. The name can be anything you want.

STEP 2.
If you want to use your Facebook or Twitter avatar be sure to link the sites in the Profile options.

STEP 3.
To create a cartoon avatar first go to http://avatars.yahoo.com and create one.

STEP 4.
Click on the default avatar in Y!A and select "edit my preferences".

Click on "update photo or avatar" and a small window will open.
You can select the cartoon, Facebook, or Twitter avatar or upload your own photo.
After clicking "use selected photo" be sure to click "submit".
The same photo will appear in the Yahoo Profile.

1.Go to http://avatars.yahoo.com/

2. A avatar will already be ready. To customize it go to appearance change the face or hairstyle. (Optional)

3. Go to 'Apparel'. Click Tops, Bottoms, or Plus Sizes. You have to search for the outfit you want.

4. Next, go to Extras. You can pick between Accessories, Fantasy & History, Sports & Hobbies, Green, Pets, Holiday & Events, Issues & Causes, Family & Home, Flags, Middle East, or My Location (GEO). Search through some of those to see what you would like.

5.Next go to Background. Choose for your background. Or leave blank. (optional)

6. Favorites and/or Favorite Avatar. You can favorite items that you like on your character. You also can Favorite your favorite outfit on you avatar by clicking the 'Add to Favorites' button. You press "Add to Favorites', Erase the words in the box and enter a name for it, then you click 'Add' But first you have to save you avatar. The 'Add to Favorites' button won't work if your avatar isn't saved. You know when your avatar is saved when the ORANGE 'Save Changes' button isn't Orange anymore. You can also use you avatar for Facebook and Twitter.

7. Your DONE! The last thing is... In order for the avatar to appear on you Profile Picture on your yahoo you have to Go to your Profile, go to the Exclamation point or the previous Profile picture and click it. You will see that it shows 'Upload', the Facebook logo, Your avatar, and 'No Photo'. Click your avatar. It will pop into the box for your Profile picture. Press the outside of the box and it's there!
