How can i get my hair to grow??(im african american)?

I know how you feel. I got braids like about 6 months ago and she messed up my hair! It took out half my hair. I would suggest you just keep getting it cut even though you are trying to get it to grow. My hair is at my shoulders now and its super thick, it's a pain to deal with now. I went to a professional hair stylist and she did an awesome job. To keep your braids longer I would suggest some braid sheen or spray. It helps a lot, oh and the occasional bit of gel. Best of luck!!
