How to stop or spend less time on Facebook?
I spend way too much time on Facebook. I just want to use Facebook to chat to people and message them. Anyone have any ideas how i could spend less time on Facebook?

I have the same problem. It gets boring on there - I have read everyones statuses, looked at all the photos and i am still on there 5 hours later. I never get any chores or homework done!

only you can stop doing that,
you can try just replying your messages and the things that are related to you
prevent yourself from visiting others a lot, do it like 1 time in 3, 4 days.
you just have to say " STOP " to the feeling that you are willing to spend more time.

1.just reply your messages and simply click on close button.
2.stand up from computer, get out of the house, go to parks, markets, or study.
then come back again see the messages and CLOSE it again.

Check the messages->CLOSE Facebook. Yes it gets addictive but I only check it once every 3-4 days. If you can limit yourself to 5mins a day just responding to stuff you are doing well.

Consider having facebook blocked from your computer. That would probably be the only real solution.

Or enable facebook mobile on your phone and just check it from there. Using your phone to check messages might incline you to spend less time on facebook, since it's not the same or as convienent as using a computer.

Forcing yourself to close out of facebook and get away from the computer doesn't seem to be very effective to me. You could just go back on again in a few minutes anyway.
