My Japanese boyfriend does not tell me he loves me on facebook?

the only times we ever argue is over something on facebook.
is he just shy to express his feelings to me infront of other people?

I don't think it's such a big deal. You won't have to say it in public if u love someone. Specially facebook, which is just a social network. The only benefit is having nosy people around.
So, don't worry. He does love u, just doesn't want to publish it in public (yet).
