I have proof that my ex spends 9 or 10 hours a day online. What kind of mother to a 3 and 4 year old spends that much time online, especially on yahoo answers!? that's wrong.

Probably slim chance. Being online or on Y!A doesn't automatically make her an unfit parent.

What type of "proof" do you actually have. To prove she was online and that it was actually her, you would need to subpeona both Yahoo and her ISP for their records. Yahoo would have to go back into server logs and find out what IP address the posts originated from, from there it would be referred to her ISP, her ISP would have to track the IP address and then determine which customer was assigned to that IP address for each post or transaction.

I'm just using Yahoo as the example here since you mention Y!A specifically. If you have email transactions like gmail, or facebook, myspace, craigslist, you would also need to subpeona the records of each respective company.

Her ISP and any other company isn't going to willingly give up their customer transactions for privacy reasons, they will tell you that you need a subpeona.

I worked for a cable company as technical support & network administration for their internet service, and also with the network abuse department they had, any request for records of a customer were referred to the legal department and the legal departments response every time is "you need a subpeona".

Well that could certainly be useful, but your information needs to be a little more specific. If you're only telling us this much and you have more details then that's fine, but I can't really see how this is going to help you if it's all you have. What I'm trying to say is, does she spend literally 9 to 10 hours per day sitting in front of the screen and doing nothing else? Or does she just have the computer on and running while she is doing other things?

No - sorry. However, see the link below.

Is your ex as bad as the woman below ? No ? Then forget it.

Women are Queens and men are Dogs in the eyes of the law (in my opinion due to my experience with my husbands' ex).

My husbands ex (has the kids) and she:

Is a 2 x convicted felon (for violent crimes that she was in prison for - murdering a child and attempting to murder my husband).

Is a hoarder (you know, like on TV when the trash is piled high to the ceiling ?)

The children do not go to school and one child was sent to a "special" school because she did not go to school.

Has been declared insane by the State of California and is on SSi for her insanity. She takes lots of medicine which makes her functional. When she does not take her medicine ? She is psychotic (that is what she is on SSI for).

Spends every waking moment on the internet.

Does not work and has never worked.

Peace.

No she'd need to be doing more than that.
