After you close your Facebook account how long are your details on the site?
I recently closed my Facebook account and was wondering how long my account will remain on there. I was recently told that you can re-open the account at anytime just by re-entering your details. Do they therefore keep your information forever? Anyone know?

I'm not sure. But I think they would. One of my friends went off from Facebook before I did even come to Facebook, but when I invite her into Facebook, there is already her name in there, it's just like text, not link. But in everyone else, there reads they're e-mail addresses. My friend closed her account in December 2008, probably somewhere end of it. And still in May 2009 there is probably her informations. So I guess they keep them there forever.

facebook has been under alot of discrimination recently because they changed their 'terms and conditions' to allow them to keep any photo you upload and any details on you're profile... since all the hoo haa they have changed it back. so as far as i know they will not have your details once you have closed your account. I'm pretty sure it should close straight away... try going on a friends facebook and searching for yours... if it is closed it should have a blank picture and say something like " this page cannot be displayed"
