How could I get friendly with him and hopefully start a relationship?
I know this guy and I really fancy him, but I've never spoken to him. I'm friends with him on Facebook and MySpace. He's a bit older than me, but we have loads in common. We go to the same school, same church, both dedicated Christians, our mums both work in the same place, we play the same sports and musical instruments, listen to the same bands and we live really close to each other.

How can I get friendly with him, drop hints and hopefully start a relationship? I don't care how long it takes as long as it is gradual.
