twitter help? deactivate account? or block follwers?

okay okay this might sound really stupid but here it goes. i made a twitter because i just want to follow my favorite celebrity you know? but i get followers from like creepy people thats are like...creepy hah. is there a way to change a setting so no one can follow me and i can only follow a few people? i know thats the whole point of twitter but uh yeah whatever. or if a deactivate my account can i still get tweet updates texted to my phone? any help would be good thanks

yes go to your privacy setting and for people who want to follow you, youll will have to accept them... so if someone trys to follow you and you think there creepy you can just decline them
