How can i find my dad?

I am 15 years old being raised by a single mother. I know very little of my father. I know his name and where he has lived in the past. I know that he has served in the United States Marine Corp. I want to see his face before i graduate high school. But i dont know how to contact him. Is there like a military databased of some sort that i can search for him?

if he knows where you are and hasn't bothered to get in touch I wouldn't bother trying to get in touch with him but if he has never known where you are then good luck with it and I hope it works out. I agree with the first answer the first place to look would be facebook . If he has a common name and you don't know what area he is in then it will be harder to find him. Maybe if you know the name of someone he is or was friends with or another of his family members who has a less common name who you could search for that would help because if you find them instead you can check their friends lists to see if he is on it.
