What is the best way to break out of a rut?
I feel like everyday is exactly the same, like I'm stuck in a rut and I am wanting/needing a release somehow. What can I do to break out of this rut and experience/start living life to the fullest?

I don't have much experience with this, but I'd say get a hobbie, or insert something new and different into your day-to-day tasks. Go out and socialize, take a spontaneous trip somewhere, just.. do something different & the complete opposite of what you'd usually do.

Hope this helped. Smile

HA! My friend I think we all feel this feeling from time to time, it's human nature! Check out Shrek Forever After!!!

While our lives may be different in so many ways, we also become creatures of habit, which tends to lead to FEELING like we have a routine life.

As we are different, we also deal with this in different ways... Here are some things I've done over the years that I have found to be fulfilling & break the routine;

1) Organize a goodwill event - Such as painting an orphanage with friends, call some local businesses to help with donations of supplies, food, involve your friends, to help paint, with repairs, some can even keep the children occupied by reading them books or some type of class...

You would be surprised as to how this helps in so many ways!!!

2) Volunteer some of your time to - Meals on Wheels, Goodwill, YMCA, Father Joe's... This helps me realize what I have & appreciate it more. It also helps our community!

3) Travel a little - Even if it's locally, say just camping or at the beach... or just visit some distant relatives you haven't seen in a while. You don't need alot of money but it totally breaks from the technology such as internet, ipods, facebook, etc...

4) Start running or biking, or pick up a new hobby/habit/thing to do!

Good luck my friend!!!
