we normally give his parents just a card for fathers or mothers day. My parents are not into those days they find them stupid. On the other occasions like birthdays or christmas we normally get something very personal where we know they will love it. His mum loves a certain perfume so we usually get her something from that production line, bath stuff, lotion whatever. His dad is into fishing. My dad loves cycling and my mum loves plants - it really depends on the person.
