How to advertise on my blog?

I have a beauty blog . I mean when you look at any beauty blog out there you will find sigma (makeup company ) advertisments all over the blog; plus they all get to try free products. I have been running my blog since the past 2 months and have only 14 followers...how to make it 500 (yes its a blogger) i dont want adsense that bad but i just wanna advertise. youngforeverism@gmail.com

There are many ways to attain your goal. If you want to advertise, make sure first that your site has interesting content. It's basically part of what people can see and what draws their attention. Also, you need to use a keyword that you want to focus on. Let's say, "sigma makeup company" as your main keyword. Use that throughout your pages but not too much and your website will show in the search egines soon as people would search for your keyword. Surely, there's more than 500 people out there searching for that keyword.

You may not want google adsense, but if you are serious with your business, you can make use of the Google Adwords services or hire someone online as your virtual assistant.

Well as I seen you have several problems. One is you only have 14 followers, second one is you need to advertise, Third thing even you didn't told us you may have less traffic.

Answer for the 14 followers question : You can join with facebook groups and follow their blogs and ask them to follow you back. Use the link in resource box below to see all the possible facebook groups you can join.

Answer for advertising problem : you can join with few affiliate programs on beauty and put their ads on your site. Or join with ppc program.

Answer for less traffic : To develop more traffic you need to bring your blog among the people. The best media is social media like twitter, facebook, digg, stumble upon, delicious, and reddit. I would suggest first trying to add followers/traffic to your blog. In order to attract advertisers, other then adsense, you will need to have significant daily traffic to your blog. To even make money off of adsense, you need to have enough followers to click on the ads that come up on your blog.

In order to gain followers and increase traffic to your blog I would suggest the following:

1. Participate in Other Beauty Blogs: Find other blogs with similar topics and audience to the audience you want to create, and then leave comments (make sure that you link to your blog in your signature) Bloggers like to know that people are reading what they are writing, and they respect people who comment! Simply by participating in other peoples blogs, you will be getting your blogs name out there is a positive manner. Once you have built connections with other bloggers, it is likely that they will come visit your blog, and possibly decide to follow. From here, you may be able to attract guestposters, or to even guestpost on other blogs which also helps drive traffic to your blog.

2. Hold a Contest: It sounds like you have a small but loyal following. Try holding a follower contest where you will give away a beauty product if you reach 50 followers. This will motivate your small following to get the word out about your blog (as they will want the product that you are offering). Eventually, when you get enough traffic, you may even get a company to donate products for contest giveaway.

3. Join a Directory: Directories, like BlogNation.com, can drive relevant traffic to your site if you sign your blog up. It is free of cost to sign up for MakeupBlogs.org, powered by BlogNation, and will help direct relevant traffic to your blog.
