It's a reference to Twitter pretty much. It's what you put at the end of a tweet

It's called a hash tag. Started on Twitter but now some ppl are using them on fb as well

That's called a hashtag... It's not supposed to be used on Facebook. Everyone uses it on Twitter to get a topic trending. You probably wont understand a word I'm saying if you don't have a Twitter account, haha.

Its called a "hash tag," Its a twitter thing, it is a way for people to search for certain terms. For example if they did #cats, when people searched cats then their post

its a twitter thing like instead of putting " is a mccreerian thing " i would put #itsamccreerianthing its a twitter thing ps its a hashtag. twitter is taking over facebook!! yeah buddie
