Now that i got accepted into college, what am i supposed to do?

I recently graduated from high school and just received the letter that i got accepted into college. But other than my acceptance i have no clue what other steps should i take to notify them of my acceptance of admission. I completed my fafsa and did not qualify for any grants or scholarships so i know loans are my only other option. I don't want a parent loan, my mother has enough debt. What are my options? Also i took the accuplacer to see what classes i would take in college but that was a while ago. I'm just confused, the school's web site doesn't help. And everytime i call thenumber is busy.

You should have gotten some information from the school regarding accepting their acceptance, rooming situation, registration and all that. Keep trying to call their admission's office cause you should have a lot more info than what you currently have.

Read the acceptance letter carefully and see if there is any info on what comes next. You may also want to get in touch with the financial aid office to see what they can tell you about financing your education. Be persistent and keep calling till you can talk to someone or email till you hear something back.

You will almost surely get a letter inviting you to attend an upcoming orientation program during which you can listen to several speakers, ask questions, and be advised on course selection.

Meanwhile, feel free to contact the campus housing office, financial aid office, or any other office which has answers you may require. If you have trouble reaching folks by phone, call early in the morning when fewer students are likely to be trying to get through, or use email.

I am sure there is more than one number you can call. If it is possible, try to visit the school. Take a look at orientation dates and visitations. This may sound lame...but try to go on a networking site (like Facebook) and you might find some students who are going to your university that can help you out.

http://www.salliemae.com/ is a good site that explains loans (more so student loans). See if your school offers any fellowships for undergraduations and see if you are eligible to apply for them.
