what is the # for in post?
okay apparently it ain't even searchable on google. Thats really bad, yet its all over twitter and face book like #you should break up. I thought it was a mistake but too many people post with the #. what it for?

It means to TAG a person. For example on tumblr is there was #girl #light #nature under a photo it'd have those things included in the photo. Similarly on twitter people use # to tag to people twitter profiles to get there attention/converse with them. Hope I helped!!

EDIT: Actually it's very easy to find on google. Search what does # mean on google it's one of the first drop down links though the # doesn't show up. If that was confusing try reading this here.
