Is it possible to bleed to death through the eyes?

Is it possible to bleed to death through the eyes because of a rare type of brain haemorrhage?! One of my Facebook friends I who lives a long way away put it as his status that it was his mother posting and he died of bleeding to death through the eyes after brain haemorrhage (I don't know how to spell?)
I'm thinking it might be a april fool joke but im getting really worried as i have no contact with his family and his phones ringing blank! Is it possible?!
