Do people really think they are hacking someones facebook if they go on it?

So let me get this straight, when someone leaves their facebook up and you go on it and type in "hahahaha Im on your facebook you've been hacked lolol"...Is that really what people think is hacking something? I guess me opening a book my father left on the table is me hacking it too?..

It's a shorter term for what they're really doing. I'm sure, they are well aware that they're not really hacking it. There's really no word for what they're doing, so they use hack.
