Does anyone know a good website for searching family history?
I'm trying to locate family? I'm looking for my father and a sister. All I have is name for him & a first name for her. If anyone knows of any websites or good research ideas please help me out. I'm completely running out of hits here. Thank you so much.
Thank you Joan, I've tried ancestry.com & hit a dead end.

Since it appears that you are searching for living people you might try typing the names into Google Genealogy Search,

The problem is that Genealogical research and family history is about direct bloodline ancestors, not living people. Any ethical researcher would not put living people into a family chart that would appear on line.

Sometimes you can find people on Facebook and MySpace. If that fails try:
http://find.person.superpages.com/
http://www.anywho.com/
http://www.zabasearch.com/

Additionally, you should try asking family members...mother, aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins…anyone who might have any know knowledge about them.
