Should I buy a Notebook or a Netbook?
My mother is planning on buying me one but she doesn't know which one to buy. I'm in high school right now. I plan on using it for little things like my iPod (Frostwire and iTunes), youtube, web-cam videos, and school work. Of course I want to use it to go on facebook and stuff. The only game I really play is RuneScape. So which should she buy me?

A notebook. netbooks are way to weak for anything except Light browsing and MS office.

as long as your not putting files on it-a e-book should be fine, plus much cheaper. This way after 6 months or so, if you find you need a bit more for a computer to do, then buy a laptop.

For your usage you can buy a netbook. Its more handy and good enough for your activities. The decision point to go for a notebook is if you do a lot of typing in that (programming, documentation or gaming), you will find netbooks difficult because of the smaller screen size and smaller keyboard.

So my recommendation is go buy a netbook.

If you want portability then get a netbook. I have a netbook and I am very pleased with it!
I have an Asus and they make the best netbooks.
so I suggest you get an Asus netbook.
For what you are going to use it for get a netbook you can fit it in your backpack or your purse. And it is very powerfull. It will do what you want it to do like a pro!

You would be surprised at how much more you will use your laptop. Most people I know that have bought netbooks have ended up regretting it later on because it just isn't powerful enough.

If you're using it for your iPod and for school work, my immediate response is go for a Notebook. If you *only* use the internet, (you use Google Docs instead of a word-processor etc.) then go for a Netbook.

A notebook, is a laptop, believe me GET A NOTEBOOK, not Netbook, because the netbooks dont have as much power as laptops do, plus if u have larger hands, you will get really pissed off at a netbook, because they are so small. also, if you plan on running itunes, youtube, and runescape, a laptop is what you need, net books are really just for people who use the internet lightly.

Notebook. A netbook is best used as a mobile secondary computer for basic tasks. Although it'll do fine for most of the things you mentioned above, you can't run modern games on it and you really shouldn't use it as your main system. Just get a notebook; it's faster, bigger and more capable overall.
