How do you get followers on Instagram?

I know you upload pictures and stuff. But do you do hashtags and stuff like twitter? Sorry for being stupid. I just started instagram.

Start by following people you know and if they like your pictures or know you then they will follow you. When you upload a picture to instagram you are the one who types in the hash tag in the caption.

To get more followers, you just have to post pictures that many people find good to look at. Also tag your pics i.e. #poolday #summer etc. If you want, you can put #teamfollowback or in your info "team follow back" if you are willing to follow people back who follow you.
