How do you send someone a picture on facebook?

How do you send someone a picture on facebook through a mail message? I just want it to be a private message and I don't want it to be posted on facebook for other people to see.

Under the msg box it says "attach" and beside that it shows a picture option.

on the top left of the facebook page(what you see when you first log in), you will see 3 icons, click the 2nd one.
You will see "messages" and "send a new message" next to it.
Click "send a new message"
on the bottom you see, "attach" then another 3 icons next to it.
click the first one(photos) and find the picture you want!
