How do I fix my computer?

I have my new computer completely dealt with and my little sister went on facebook once it was done then, since she was done, she turned it off. We went to sleep and in the morning, I turned it on and now it's stuck on a screen with a blinking _ in the upper lefthand corner. Any way to fix it?

Turn your computer on, and press F8 or whatever until the safe mode comes up.. If you can get into the safe mode, then you can try restoring your computer back to the original date..

omg.... this happened to me a year ago. You'll have to take it in to get it repaired. I have a family friend that works for geek squad. We dropped it off in the morning and picked it up at night. But he said it took them a few hours to fix it. and these are professionals we're talking about. So yea. But i know how to do it. That is if you have some type of computer knowledge. All you have to do is reinstall windows xp.. lot more complicated then it sounds though. Best of luck to ya
