Can people see when you've viewed their pictures on facebook?

My brother said that now facebook has a function that tells you when someone reads the comments on your photos. I don't post many photos so I haven't had a chance to test it out. Does anyone have more info about this? Surely if it tells you when somebody read the comment, it tells you who looks at the photos? I checked fb faqs and they are still adement that they do not allow you to see who has looked at your pictures...

No, when you look at somebody's photos or read the comments the person will not know

I was just on it and you can receive an alert that someone commented on your photos but as far as I could see you are not notified when people just view them.

I have never heard of that. And plus, I have many photos om my facebook and I never get notifications or anything saying that anyone has viewed my photos. I dont know where your brother heard that becasue it's not true

The only time you will ever get a notification on a picture of yours is when someone likes it, comments on it, or likes on of your comments on it. Other than that, you shouldn't have notifications from it. Don't worry. Guess your brother is trying to scare you haha(:

i've only seen it for group photos.
i havent seen it on the public ones..

Nope, unless you comment or like their photo, they won't know.
