How do you get more people to attend your event on facebook?

When you create an event on facebook, you can only add your friends, but how do you add your friend's friends and more people in general to the event?

First of all, don't send your request to too many people, as it looses it's attraction. Send a lot of invitations but to a small amount of persons.

Also, ask your closest friends to forward the news, nothing works as much as social networks, but only when you know the people you are actually asking help to.

Finally, if you manage to do so, add a few punch lines to the description, make it look interesting. You can even join in with a small presence prize or a "special guest". Don't forget that it might take a while for people to know you, but as soon as you start making some nice events, people will search for you and you won't even have to work inviting or searching for them.
