block facebook notifications from one person only?

I want to block notifications from one person who sends out too many.
This is a business person who sends out so many notifications of nationwide detail, up to 10 at a time. I like my other notifications, so I don't want to totally delete notifications, and I'd like to keep this person as a friend, just without all the notifications.
