can i close the wall of a facebook event?

I have a facebook event and would like to make it so no one can post on the wall. Is it possible to turn off the option for all people to post?
I want to completely close the wall so they cant enter anything, ive seen it done before...

No, but you can make it a private event if that helps reaching your goal.

1. Go to the event and click on Edit event.
2. Uncheck "Anyone can view and RSVP (public event)"
3. Check "Guests can invite Friends" if you want.

This will make sure only invited persons can view the event.
