How do I hide my relationship status on the new facebook?

I don't want to change my relationship status to single, but my mom is very nosy and no she doesn't have a facebook. But she tries to look over my shoulder and she gets really annoying because she asks "so how's your boyfriend doing?"
And no negative comments.
So please, can anyone help me out on this one?

what you do is chance your relationship to only some people to view it so your mom can't

You can hide your relationship stays by going to "Edit Profile" button at the upper right side of the screen ( if you have the new version of facebook layout) Click this and then go to Relationships & Friends tab. You can then find the relationship status area and mark the box to hide the status on your profile. Or you can change your privacy settings so certain people can't see your private information. If your mother is still bugging you with rude comments, try talking to her about how this makes you feel. You can tell her you would like some space & privacy because her snooping makesbyou feel uncomfortable. But she is your mom & she wants to know what's going on & to protect you!!

Log In.

Click Account in the top right-hand corner, then click Privacy Settings.

Click Custom on the left-hand side, then click Customize Settings.

You will then be able to decide who see's what.

Then if you want, there will be a button at the top you can click to preview your profile, so you can see how it will look to other people.
