I just can not be friends with the people I went to school with on facebook. They are all on there, but I don't I think it is silly. I'm on there but they don't know it cause I'm under another last name. To me it would be like reliving highschool again, lol. I'm 29 too.

you might be spelling their names wrong...or they might not be on at all...check some of your other friends friends to try to find some though...

I get where you're coming from here....I'm friends with about 13 people that i used to know from school on facebook...3 of them are my exes! i only left in '06, but it seems that our lives have moved on so much that we almost can't bring ourselves to properly talk to eachother again unless we are actually currently involved in eachother's lives. An example of this is when an old highschool boyfriend found me on facebook a couple of months ago, and at first he was very keen and we even went on a date...but in the end we both realized that our lives had changed and that we needed to stay apart and just move on...i had a similar experience with my old best friend...she wanted try and be friends like we used to be...but i just wasnt feeling it. on the other end of the scale, an old friend even asked me who i was when i added her, and was quite baffled and put out! It's one thing to look back at the memories...but its another thing to end up feeling like you are re-living the past...i've found that they will either convince themselves that they still have the same feelings again and will purposely seek you out, tell you that you 'havnt changed' etc, or will show a cold attitude and tell you how much they've 'moved on' and 'changed'...for worse or for better!

Having said that, i think that the older you get...the more amicable it is. My father has 20 of his old highschool class of '81 on his facebook, and they all tend to look back pleasantly and ask eachother how they are doing, what they've been up to etc...and even post old school photos to eachother's walls.
