Is it possible to have emotions but feel no connection to your partner?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for almost a year now and recently we've been getting into squabbles about silly stuff. The other day I saw him sending things to his friend over facebook- saying that he really likes me and has emotions for me but doesn't feel a connection- but he acts all fine and dandy. So should I be worried, what can I do to get the "connection" back?

He still cares about you, but maybe you guys aren't right for each other. Try to rebuild the connection. It takes time. If that doesn't work, then it's time to move on.

Sorry to say, but if the connection is weak or lacking after only a short time, its time to move on, because it will only get worse. Sounds like you love each other, but were never in love. There's a huge difference. Even those that are in love get irritated with each other and squabble over foolishness, but that connection is enough to sustain a relationship, and lead to more good times than bad. If that deep feeling of love and needing is not there, then there is no "reconnecting". Perhaps you weren't really connected by anything deep and meaningful to begin with. Not an expert, just my opinion.
