Does Twitter track your IP address?
I have 2 Twitter accounts. One is my personal account and another I use for anonymously to interact with people who share my disability. However, I have noticed that on my private account myself and people I know are appearing as suggested friends.

I use 2 completely different emails and the accounts are not linked in any way at all.

This is a worry for me as I have not disclosed my disability and due to prejudices surrounding mental illness I am very worried how I would be viewed by work colleagues, etc if I was found out.

I have been very careful to keep my accounts separate, always sign out and clear my history after each log in. Is Twitter tracking my IP address or is something else going on that is linking the accounts?
If they don't track your IP address - how are they linking the accounts?

If you have any google software on your computer, then google is tracking everything you do online, they are the largest spying entity on the planet. Same goes for any online type programs you have, twitter, yahoo toolbar, any online third party software on your computer allows them to track you, if you don't have to install any twitter software, then they can only track you while logged into twitter, same with any site your logged into. Get used to the fact that everyone wants to spy on what your doing online, so they can make money by selling that information to interested parties. How do you think all these free things make money? You don't actually think the internet is one big socialist/communist dreamland where everyone is private, secure, and everything is free do you? The only thing communist/socialist about the internet is all the spying, and invasion of privacy, and how NOTHING is really free.

They not only track your IP address but every word you type and every thing else they can. They are not in business to facilitate communications they are in the business to gather information on all the people who use their service and then be able to monetize that huge database they are building.

Read this if you want to be more private.
