How do I stop my facebook addiction without closing my account?
I post 2 statuses almost everyday, most of them are very useless, and I'm on it a lot....I still need facebook because I need to keep in touch with my family (I'm Indian I have a huuuuugggeeee family) and to contact my classmates for a certain assignment/project.... are there any tricks to stop my addiction, without closing my account?

set a timer. say im only going on for so long and gradually cut down till ur at 30 minutes or whatever your goal is. if its a game, block it. i got addicted to farmville about a year ago and i blocked t and nrver went on again. games are fun, but theyre a waste a time

Keep your account , just change the way you use it.
Express your self when you feel like it is important for others to know.
Example : You are about to get married , You have some really really hard problem , or anything else that important.

user it to char normally with others.

Facebook is just a tool and you should try to use it better Smile

You're a Facebook addict if:

> You spend 20 hours or so in Facebook
> You can't stop thinking about Facebook
> And all other reasons in between (in other words personal reasons)

To counter it:

> Force your self out of Facebook. Find some other things to do ( But if you really want to keep in touch with your FB use Facebook mobile ) so that you'll always be notified wherever you go.
>Self-Control, try limiting your time on Facebook, and only you can do that.

I hope this helps. Good Luck.
