I have a yahoo email address but want to change my password on facebook. Can I have a different password for my email and facebook?

If you are signed out of Facebook,Just go click "Forgot Password" and than facebook should send you a link to change your Facebook Password

Its not a problem, its actually preferred that you don't use the same password for your email address and facebook.

To change you password just go to the account settings and there is a password field were you just enter your old password and then your new password.

Instructions.
1.The first think you need to do is log into your facebook account.

2.Once logged into facebook.com, click on the "Settings" option that is at the top toolbar in blue.

3.On the Settings page, the third option on the list will be "Email." Click on the "change" link on the right hand side of the screen.

4.Once you click on "change," you will see a new field appear called "New Email." Simply enter your new email address in the "New Email" field and click "Add New Email."

5.Once you complete that step, you will need to re-enter your facebook.com password for security purposes.
