Have you or anyone you know ever gotten a job by networking on Facebook?

I've heard news stories where people lost their jobs or were nixed from getting a job because of their Facebook page....what about obtaining a job through a Facebook connection?

Thank you so much for your encouraging words. Actually, I was thinking about my brother in law. He was a manager in manufacturing....he has seen a number of plants close and been laid off before, but never for so long. He lost his job in May 2007 (not a typo), and someone told me Facebook is a great way to network. I thought it might be encouraging to him if there was someone who had successfully procured a job that way.....but if they did, they either aren't in the Y/A community, or they didn't see this question. Bummer....
