What is Formspring exactly?

I've started to get interested in the possibilty of Twitter & Formspring, but I don't know much about Formspring. What is it? Can you have privacy settings where strangers can't see your posts and things? Is it anything like Facebook or Twitter?

formspring all you do is ask others questions and they ask you questions but i'd stay away as it's boring and most of the time you only get abuse.

Formspring is a social network where you can set up your own account for people to ask you questions. You can edit your settings so people may ask you anonymously (hiding their name) or so only Formspring users can ask you questions. You can always delete it if you don't like it. I think it is pretty fun and I like changing my background a lot.

Connections are people that have asked you questions or those people that you have asked questions too. You can also follow people to view their profiles and stuff
