If someone gave me their facebook password, is it illegal to enter their facebook?

an ex girlfriend gave me her password to facebook while we were still together....now we're not...she's breast feeding and she's a bad alcoholic...i can't prove it unless i use take some emails from her facebook email, i just want to know if this is legal....

Not "illegal," I guess, but if I were her, I would have changed my password if I'd given it to someone I was no longer speaking to.

However, given the circumstances you've presented, I'd do what needs to be done to keep the child safe.
