I'm thinking of dying my hair?

Hey thanks for answering.

Anyway, recently I've been thinking about dying my hair, I've never dyed it before and I'm pretty bored of my natural color lol. My natural color is ash blonde, with natural blonde highlights in it. I've had PLENTY of people tell me not to dye it because it's such a nice and unusual color and that it suits me well, but I want to dye it anyway.

Since I've never dyed my hair before, there's loads of things that I don't really know.

1. Is dying hair damaging?
2. How long does it usually last?
3.Do I just go into the hairdressers and tell them what color I want, or should I get their opinion aswell?

Once you color your hair you get addicted and NEVER stop lol but i understand who doesnt want change or to experiment, Go to a HAIRSALON and get your hair done, it may be expensive but its so much healthier for your hair and they do it right, if you like the color the normal upkeep is to get it colored every 4-6 weeks, it depends on how fast your hair grows. get your hair trimmed every 6 weeks as well. just stay away from bleach,once or twice is good but you have to take care of your hair

right, just do it your self, much cheaper and easy aswell, it does do lots of damage to your hair and its about 6 weeks but it might only stay for like 2 if your hair doesnt like hair dye, and it will never go away, even when the colour fades a bit and looks like a pile of crap! and once you do it you have to keep doing it because even if you grow it back it will be this gray/black colour because hair dye damages your hair roots
